How to interpret a close S/N result
A result near the middle often means the setting changes which approach costs less energy. Compare work, close friendship, unfamiliar groups, deadlines, and relaxed time. The goal is to recognize a default and its exceptions, not force every behavior under one letter.

Intuition means being right without evidence
In this framework intuition is not accuracy. It only describes where attention starts: With the pattern rather than the detail. A pattern-first reader can be confidently wrong, and a detail-first reader can be brilliantly imaginative.

Neither. Detail-first thinking prevents plans built on assumptions; pattern-first thinking prevents plans that miss where things are heading. Most good decisions use both, in that order.
Does this measure creativity?
No. Creativity shows up in both preferences. Detail-first creativity tends to build from craft and material; pattern-first creativity tends to build from connection and analogy.
Why do I feel like both?
Because context switches the order. Many people are detail-first at work, where mistakes are costly, and pattern-first at home, where they are not.
How is this different from being observant?
